Welcome Robb Lapp!

We are pleased to introduce Rev. Robb Lapp as our new Interim Pastor. Robb brings nearly four decades of pastoral experience and leadership within the Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, he has served congregations in Missouri, Kansas, and North Carolina, including more than 20 years of ministry at St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. His experience spans youth and education, congregational care, membership development, and transitional ministry.

Rev. Lapp has most recently served as an interim pastor at both Southport Presbyterian Church and Wallace Presbyterian Church. A trained Stephen Minister and active leader within the presbytery, he is passionate about guiding congregations through seasons of growth and transition while nurturing strong relationships within the church community. He and his wife, Vicki, a retired educator, live in Wilmington and enjoy spending time with their two children and two young grandchildren. Read Rev. Lapp’s full bio here.

Stewardship Minute for Ministry

Our church has been blessed with a growing number of children and youth participating in Sunday School, Youth Group, Super Tuesday Kids Club, Vacation Bible School, and Camp Kirkwood. Through the leadership of Dawn Frazier and Leslie Blair, these ministries continue to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to grow in faith and fellowship. As we are reminded in stewardship, serving God is not only about giving financially, but also about sharing our time and talents. To continue supporting these vibrant programs, we are seeking volunteers to help with Sunday School, Super Tuesday Kids Club, and Vacation Bible School.

There are many ways to serve, and volunteers are never expected to do it alone. Sunday School teachers work from an easy-to-follow curriculum, serve alongside another adult, and rotate schedules rather than teaching every week. Super Tuesday Kids Club also needs volunteers to help prepare simple meals and assist with lessons and activities. Vacation Bible School volunteers are needed both during VBS week in late July and for weekly craft-preparation days beginning June 16. For those unable to volunteer time, donations of supplies or financial gifts for youth programs and special projects are always appreciated. Needed items are listed on the clotheslines near the front entrance and the Gathering Room hallway.

The future of the church is found in its children, and together we can continue supporting this vital ministry. Your participation helps create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
