1 Peter 4:10 (NRSV) -- "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received."
Stewardship
Stewardship is more than giving—it’s a way of living. It includes our contributions of time, talents, financial resources, love, and hard work. At its heart, stewardship is a faithful response to God’s blessings and a reflection of our relationship with Him.
At Topsail Presbyterian Church, we believe stewardship is the outward expression of our inner commitment to God.
God Gives to Us—We Give to Others
Jesus’ Great Commission calls us to live out our faith through action: to share God’s word, to care for our neighbors, and to be good stewards of His creation. When we give of ourselves—through service, generosity, and compassion—we become the hands and feet of God in the world.
Supporting God’s Work Through Giving
Though only one part of stewardship, financial giving is a vital way we participate in God’s work. Our tithes and offerings support the mission and ministries of Topsail Presbyterian Church—worship, outreach, education, care, and more. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us serve others, share the love of Christ, and build a strong, faithful community. Giving is not just a transaction; it’s an act of worship and a reflection of our trust in God’s provision.
If you feel moved to give or serve, we invite you to take the next step using the links below. Whether through a financial contribution, volunteering your time, or sharing your unique gifts, your involvement makes a meaningful difference in the life of our church and community. As 2nd Corinthians 9:7 (NSRV) reminds us, "Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Join us in living out our calling to love God and love others through faithful, joyful stewardship.

special offerings
Topsail Presbyterian Church participates in a number of special offerings as a way to live out our call to serve others in Christ’s name.
Locally, we support the Presbyterians’ Answer to Hunger (PATH) offering as a simple but powerful way to fight hunger. Members set aside a small gift—such as five cents per meal—and bring it on the second Sunday of each month. A portion of this offering stays in Hampstead to support the 4C’s Food Pantry, while the rest helps provide meals, support sustainable agriculture, and fund nutrition and self-sufficiency programs. PATH links our daily bread to the needs of others, reminding us of Christ’s call to share so that all may be fed.
The Special Offerings of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) are four powerful, church-wide giving initiatives that unite congregations in responding to God’s grace through compassionate action. These offerings— One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost Offering, Peace & Global Witness Offering, and Christmas Joy Offering —reflect key seasons in the church year and support ministries of disaster relief, hunger alleviation, Christian formation, peacemaking, and leadership development. They represent the largest way Presbyterians collectively embody their faith by lifting up the most vulnerable and advancing reconciliation, justice, and global witness. These offerings connect our congregation with the broader mission of the Church, allowing us to extend our focus beyond our own walls and join with Presbyterians everywhere in making a difference both locally and globally.
Below is a highlight of Peace & Global Witness Offering, being collected between September 7th and October 5th.
Peace and global witness offering
The Peace & Global Witness Offering calls the Church to embody the peace of Christ in our communities and throughout the world. Through this offering, Presbyterians join together to address systems of injustice, promote reconciliation, and spread Christ’s peace where it is needed most. A portion of each gift supports local and regional efforts, while the larger church carries the witness globally—reminding us that our shared commitment to peace reaches far beyond our own congregation.
Through this offering, 25% remains with our congregation to spark peace-building initiatives in our community, 25% supports peacemaking efforts through our Presbytery and Synod, and 50% strengthens the global mission of reconciliation and healing. This year, the offering will be received from September 7 through October 5, 2025, culminating on World Communion Sunday.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
Your generous contributions of time, talent, and financial support make a difference to the Topsail community and beyond. Here are a few examples of our initiatives and outside organizations we partner with to benefit those in need.
Shepherd's Box | The Shepherd’s Box is a donation box at TPC for collecting donations for rotating charities each month. Examples include food pantries, community centers, services for the elderly, and more. |
Operation Christmas Child's Shoebox | Every Christmas season Topsail Presbyterian Church works with Samaritan’s Purse to fill shoe boxes with gifts and supplies for children that are sent around the world. |
4 C’s: Christian Community Caring Center | The 4C’s provides healthy food to food-insecure families in Pender County and other nearby communities. They strive to restore “dignity, health, opportunity, and hope” to people most in need. The 4C’s is just one example of an organization featured in the Shepherd’s Box mentioned above. |
Meals on Wheels | TPC participates in Meals on Wheels, a national organization that coordinates volunteers to deliver food to the disabled, elderly, and those isolated at home who struggle to obtain and prepare food for themselves. Meals on Wheels helps keep the elderly healthy, while also providing companionship. |
Rise Against Hunger | Rise Against Hunger is a global movement to end hunger, providing opportunities for volunteers to donate time and money to serve those most in need. Our partnership with Rise Against Hunger allows our congregation to extend its impact to the global community and make a difference worldwide. |
Youth Ministry | Want to get the kids involved? We provide age-appropriate tasks to kids of all ages so they can contribute to different missions, from packing food items for Meals on Wheels to garbage cleanup and home maintenance. We believe in the character-building power of demonstrating stewardship to our youth. |
Samaritan’s Purse | Samaritan’s Purse is a disaster relief organization that mobilizes volunteers to provide shelter, food, and other emergency aid to those impacted by a wide range of natural disasters. |
