children & youth Ministries

Our Children and Youth Ministry welcomes all kids—from birth through 12th grade. As a Spirit-filled, life-giving ministry of Topsail Presbyterian Church, our mission is to bring the Gospel of Christ to life in the hearts of young people. We are committed to raising up and empowering the next generation to advance God’s Kingdom, helping each student take meaningful steps toward a life of purpose in Christ.

We center everything we do around intentional discipleship. Through caring relationships and small groups, we create an environment where students can grow in their faith and thrive on their journey with Jesus.

Our ministry offers a wide range of opportunities for students to encounter God—including worship gatherings, age-appropriate teaching, and special events like mission trips, Vacation Bible School, ski retreats, Camp Kirkwood, and more.

Sunday Mornings

  • Nursery (under age 2): Childcare is available during the 10:30 a.m. service.

  • Children’s Sunday School (Pre-K – 5th Grade): Kids are invited to participate in a fun and engaging class during the 10:30 a.m. service.

Mid-Week Groups

  • Pre-K – 5th Grade: Tuesday Nights, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Over 50 children gather each week to share a meal, enjoy fellowship, and break into age-appropriate groups for a Bible lesson, discussion, and activities.

Fellowship & Community

We were created to live in community, not in isolation. While we may reside in a physical community, many of us experience spiritual, social, and relational isolation. When life’s challenges arise, it can often feel like we have no one to turn to for support. However, true community offers us a deeper experience of God, especially through the fellowship of close relationships. In fellowship, we can pray together, encourage one another, share life’s burdens, and grow together in faith. It is in this shared space that we celebrate God’s presence, reflect on His Word, and live out His calling together.

At our church, we offer many opportunities for interaction. Our Fellowship Committee plans events throughout the year to help us come together and build deeper relationships as we work together toward God’s purpose. These events, held outside of worship services, provide us with the chance to interact, get to know one another, and create relationships that strengthen our collective faith journey.

In addition, community groups offer focused opportunities for fellowship. These gatherings go beyond simply sharing space; they are intentional moments to nurture relationships, form accountability, and encourage spiritual growth. Through fellowship, we support one another in our spiritual growth, offer mercy in times of need, and, as a united body, extend justice and grace to those around us—both in our community and beyond. Fellowship is where we begin to fully live out the love of Christ, supporting and empowering each other in our shared faith journey.
